The User Experience Architect will work across a variety of digital channels and projects to produce an optimal user experience.  Through the deep understanding of business requirements and user needs, this role will develop user experience artifacts that effectively communicate the solution to both technical and non-technical audiences. The role requires a thorough understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices, along with an understanding of how brand and interaction design can work together to create an engaging user experience.

·       Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction Design, Human Computer Interaction, Usability or Graphic Design

·       2 years of working in user experience design, interaction design, UI design, and/or usability

·       Solid understanding of user-centered design principles with the ability to propose design solutions based on best practices and usability principles.

·       Ability to turn high level business requirements into interactive experiences with attention to detail and craftsmanship.

·       Strong self-motivation with capability of balancing multiple projects and producing deliverables in a timely manner.

·       Outstanding interpersonal communication and teamwork skills along with excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills.

·       Proficiency in design software such as InDesign, Axure, Visio, etc.

·       Experience with web-based and/or other digital projects with an e-commerce focus.

·       Ability to rapidly create functioning prototypes using Axure, Balsamiq, or comparable prototyping tools.

·       Basic understanding of technologies used to build web-based solutions (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, etc.)

·       Experience conducting user testing using various research methodologies and stimuli.

The editor provides conceptual and editorial solutions for relevant, innovative gift products (could be almost anything, but core formats include stationery, coffee mugs, stuffed animals, etc).  Working under the supervision of a manager, the editor helps shape the voice and emotional range of the line and serves as the filter for the consumer, interpreting social and consumer trends and anticipating future consumer needs.

The editor takes direction from the manager and collaborates with designers, writers, and the product merchandising staff. The editor must demonstrate strong conceptual, creative writing, copy writing, sound/music, and editorial skills; excellent communication and teamwork; strong organizational skills; and comfort with ambiguity.
